Dr. Vonetta Allen, the visionary owner and doctor behind Premier Speech, Swallowing & ABA Solutions, is a licensed medical speech-language pathologist (SLP), possesses the esteemed Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC/SLP) issued by the American Speech Hearing and Language Association, signifying her expertise and dedication to her field. With two decades of professional clinical experience in habilitating and rehabilitating both adult and pediatric populations, Dr. Allen has worked across diverse settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, public and private education sectors, home healthcare agencies, and is currently engaged in private practice.
Her extensive certifications include Lee Silverman Voice Training, Intellistim, Vital Stim, Modified Barium Swallow Study Consultant, and the Compton P-ESL Accent Modification Training, showcasing her commitment to staying at the forefront of therapeutic techniques.

A staunch advocate for evidence-based practice, Dr. Allen achieved a significant milestone in 2020 by earning a Doctorate of Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. Her research, conducted through a single subject, A-B design, focused on measuring the effects of a parent training program for parents of young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The results demonstrated a demonstrative effect with statistical and clinical significance across all participants, supporting the efficacy of a high-frequency parent training program.
In 2002, Dr. Allen earned a Master of Education in Urban and Ethnic Communication Disorders from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. Her educational journey began in 2000 when she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA.
Currently, Dr. Allen holds the position of Director of Therapy Operations for Premier Speech and Swallowing Solutions. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, she actively participates in various local rehabilitation advocacy committees, contributing her expertise to advance the field and improve therapeutic services within the community. Dr. Vonetta Allen’s multifaceted career and commitment to evidence-based practice underscore her dedication to the well-being and progress of the individuals she serves.
